One of my main goals in 2025 is to be consistent with my brand while also opening up more about my creative process, inspirations, culture, interests, and life. With the Peace Collection, I took a meaningful step in that direction. That collection was about embarking on a personal journey to find peace.
Before creating it, I found myself questioning my heritage and identity, even contemplating distancing myself from them. But designing that collection reignited my inspiration, pushing me forward—though with caution. However, by the end of 2024, that cautious approach led me to an all-too-familiar meeting with fear and self-doubt. It was a setback that made me reconsider everything about my brand yet again—the brand that is, at its core, a reflection of who I am: my culture, my interests, my story.
This fear, though present, hasn’t held the same power over me since I was two years old. So what changed? I asked myself: Why not open up more? Why not stay true to the original vision? Why not take my time? What do I have to lose?
These reflections shaped my inspiration for designing the Persian Pattern Jacquard Knit Cardigan. It’s more than just pattern, carpet, or architecture—it’s memory. It’s a piece of me.
